The CS:GO Gamers8 Tournament has come to a close and it was one for the ages!

The tournament ran from August 16th-20th and featured 16 of the world’s best CS:GO Esports teams. As expected, it was an intense competition with the 16 teams battling it our for a share of the $1million prize pot.

Team Vitality Does It Again!

After winning the last CS:GO Major Championship in May this year Team Vitality were going into the Gamers8 Tournament as clear favourites and they once again proved why.

Their road to victory wasn’t easy by any stretch, they faced off against some major esports teams such as, MIBR, Natus Vincere and G2 Esports before facing off against ENCE in the grand final. Each round was played as a best of three with Vitality winning beating their opponents 2-1, 2-0 and 2-1 respectively, before winning 2-1 in the final. With this huge win Team Vitality took home their share of the prize pot with an astounding $400,000.

Team Vitality had an extraordinary weekend, marked by ZywOo’s remarkable performance, securing yet another MVP award, and the newcomer flameZ winning his most significant accolade to date. Vitality has been consistently impressive throughout the year, achieving top positions at both the BLAST Paris Major and IEM Rio in 2023. With the end of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s decade-long era approaching, the team is gearing up for a complete transition to Counter-Strike 2.
